Make your first project

Create a project you can find again

1. From the project picker, choose New Project, give it a name, and choose where to save its folder.
2. Choose your workflow mode and project format. Read the format description before confirming; the chosen format is fixed for that project.
3. Add the provider keys requested by the Keys step. Check your provider account balance and the estimated costs before continuing.

Work through one small example

1. Use the Source File step to import a short piece of writing you have permission to use.
2. Review the story preparation before continuing. Check character and location details, and choose your style and reference images.
3. Generate a small test, review the result, and adjust it before creating more. Provider charges may apply each time you generate.
4. Use the Media Library to find your images, video, and audio. Its Files button opens the project folder.

Keep a recovery copy

Close Studio before copying the complete project folder to a separate backup location. Keep the project files and media together; copying only your exported videos is not a project backup. The website’s database backups do not back up projects on your computer.
