If you believe content on Fiction.show infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service (a URL is best);
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

What Happens Next

On receipt of a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the identified material promptly, notify the author who published it, and record the notice against their account.

Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same designated agent including: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, the District of Arizona) and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice. If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat Infringers

We terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We log takedown notices against the responsible account, and accounts that accumulate repeated, substantiated claims of infringement will be terminated.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
