Your first steps with an agent
An agent can help you plan and carry out work. Give it a clear goal, set boundaries, and review its results before moving on.

Try it step by step
- Choose a compatible desktop agent and check its own account requirements and costs.
- In Studio, open Settings → Agent Server (MCP), enable the server, and select your client. Follow the setup guide shown for that client.
- Keep Studio open while the agent is connected. Install the Studio skills using the instructions for your client.
- Begin with a read-only request, such as asking the agent to describe your project. Ask it to explain a plan and estimated costs before generating anything.
